Dog Walking

Gem’s Play’N’Stay offers dog walking for your best friend when it may be difficult for you to do so due to work or other commitments.

I offer group walks with no more than 4 dogs walked at one time.

A walk for your pooch is usually it’s most enjoyable part of the day, something they really look forward to. Therefore I feel it is important to make it just that.

The time of the walks are in the morning between 9am-12pm and in the afternoon between 12pm-3pm meaning that they will be out of the house for approximately 1 ½ -2 hours in total. This time is inclusive of collecting the dogs, the hour walk and dropping them home.

The parks that we like to walk the dogs are well known to us as security and safety is the most important thing. Hall Place, Foots Cray Meadows, Danson Park and Dartford Heath are the main places we attend.

We provide doggie bags and treats for the walk and if your dog has a sensitive tummy let us know and we can arrange taking treats from home to prevent any illness.

At the initial consultation we will sit down and discuss the individual needs of your dog. It will be a chance to go through any issues the dog or yourself may have in advance of heading out with the gang!

Unless advised otherwise, we always keep the dog on the lead for the initial walks so they can get used to us and the other dogs and vice versa.

In the winter months the weather is mostly against us so after a heavy downpour or light shower, we will make sure your dog is dried as much as possible before being left at home. In the summer months we will make sure we have plenty of water with us for rehydration and only take them to parks with a river or lake so they can take a dip!

Once the dog is home we make sure they are secure, comfortable and have fresh water. We also like to leave them with a little chewy treat to keep them occupied whilst we’re leaving. We can leave lights, a radio or the television on if desired.

Dogs must be over 6 months of age and have been neutered.
