I have had a love for animals for as long as I can remember and always knew that I would work with them one way or another. Over the years, I myself have had a number of animals to look after. It started with a budgie called Georgie, then 5 cats, 2 guinea pigs and my gorgeous dog Molly.
Through school and college all my work placements were based around animals, be it in a zoo or veterinary surgeries. The amazing experiences I had confirmed that working with animals was something I definitely wanted to do.
My first ever job was working evenings and weekends in a veterinary clinic whilst I continuing at school and college. From there I went on to a practice to become a student veterinary nurse and eventually gained my nursing qualification. After 13 years in that same practice I made a very difficult decision to leave and take some time out visiting family abroad. Whilst on my trip to Canada I was lucky enough to get some work walking dogs and house sitting for a ménage of animals! The experience of that along with the odd visits I had done for clients at my practice, it fuelled my ambition to start up my own pet sitting business.
It all came together in May 2013 and I haven’t looked back since. I love my job!
